Born on the small island of Maui, CITYISLAND Productions was conceived from a singular vision: to fuse the relentless momentum of city life with the cinematic, picturesque beauty of Hawaii. Founder Thomas Carmona's eye was first forged filming professional surfing and skateboarding, where he developed an instinct for capturing motion, energy, and athleticism in their purest form.

Pursuing that vision demanded conviction. Carmona moved to Orlando to attend Full Sail University, but quickly understood that his true education would be found not in a classroom, but in the work itself. He left school to dedicate himself entirely to CITYISLAND, guided by a single purpose: creating the finest media content for artists and clients.

The early years were defined by discipline and relentless persistence. Carmona sacrificed his personal life and relationships in service of the company's success, reaching out to local artists, cultivating relationships one project at a time, and building a reputation through word of mouth — sustained by endless nights and days in pursuit of every opportunity. For years, he worked alongside collaborators who did not share his passion or dedication, an experience that made clear how rare genuine commitment truly is.

That search ended when he met Evan Miller and Max Spiro, two individuals whose devotion to the craft matched his own. Miller brought a formidable background as a Director of Photography, shaped by years on professional film sets, while Spiro contributed deep corporate accounting and financial expertise. Together, the three formed a partnership in which each skill set sharpened the others, uniting creative vision, technical mastery, and business acumen under one roof. Today, headquartered in the NY Metropolitan Area, CITYISLAND collaborates with some of entertainment's most influential artists and executives, producing top-tier video content and films for global brands, celebrated creatives, record labels, and celebrity talent.
